September 2026
Archive guides
You can now archive guides that are no longer in use. Archiving allows you to keep your guides list organized by removing guides from your Overview guides list and any related dropdown menus without permanently deleting them. Archived guides retain all their content, settings, and analytics, including reports, dashboard widgets, and segments that reference them, and you can restore them at any time. For more information, see Archive guides.
Compare guide performance
You can now see how each of your guides performs relative to your other guides on the new Performance tab in Guide Effectiveness. This helps you identify which guides are resonating with visitors and worth replicating, and which need attention. For more information, see Guide effectiveness.
Save and reuse guide styling
You can now save and reuse layouts to style your guides consistently across your OEM subscription. This allows you to save the design of any guide step, including its structure, sizing, and building block arrangement, as a custom layout, then apply, update, or delete it when building other guides in the Visual Design Studio, so your in-app content stays on-brand without rebuilding styling each time. For more information, see Layouts.
Organize guides with guide categories
You can now organize your guides with Guide Categories, making it easier to find and manage similar guides. Use predefined categories, like education, general notifications, or research, to clarify the goal of each guide, or create custom categories and category groups that match how you want to organize your guides and layouts. For more information, see Organize your guides with categories.
Link directly to a guide with permalinks
You can now use permalinks to display a specific guide on a specific page in the product, so users see the right guide the moment they land there. Copy a permalink string from the Visual Design Studio and add it to any page URL to trigger that guide step. For more information, see Create guide permalinks.
Display guides on a specific day of the week
You can now choose specific days of the week for a guide to display. This allows you to control delivery more precisely. For example, you can show a guide only on weekdays or restrict it to certain days in a campaign window. For more information, see Test and deliver your guide.
